Elio VERA studied Philosophy and Psychology at the University of Milan. He spent 20 years working in marketing in multinational companies such as HENKEL, UNILEVER, YOUNG & RUBICAM and CHESEBROUGH POND’S. Co-founder and partner of CESMA Business School based in Milan. He has worked as a consultant in Executive Education on organisational topics in Bulgaria, Russia, Spain, and Switzerland. He specialises in Group Relations focusing on the analysis of group relations and organisational development according to the Tavistock Model, in particular the study of Authority, Leadership and Innovation. In the 90’ Elio attended the 3 levels of the Tavistock GRCs at the Leicester University (A, B and Training Group). Since1998, he has worked with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and the Il Nodo group in organising the annual GRC in Italy, called the “Arona Conference”. He is also consultant for transition processes in SMEs, especially family businesses, and in Interculturality. In 1996 on behalf of AIF, the Italian Association of Executive Trainers, Elio co-founded ETDF, the European Training and Development Federation, and since 1994 has been a Member of the Board of ASFOR, the Association of the Italian Schools of Management, in charge of the International Relations and research on “Diversity in the Workplace”. He is member of ISPSO, OPUS, emeritus member of EFMD, the European Federation for Management Development and is part of the Review Teams for EFMD-EPAS, CEEMAN and ASFOR MBAs accreditation processes. He is member of the Editorial Team of CROSS CULTURAL MANAGEMENT, published by EMERALD, with the role of Executive Corner Editor, whose aim is to reinforce links between the academic and the corporate worlds.(www.emeraldinsight.com). He specialised in training to non Italian expatriates on the Italian Culture in general and in management in particular.
